Fermented Buttermilk for Plant Growth and Pest Control

Fermented Buttermilk for Plants:

Fermented Buttermilk acts as a natural fertilizer, not only safeguards against fungal issues and diseases but also fosters healthy soil and plant growth due to its beneficial bacterial and enzymes .

Fermented Buttermilk as Fertilizer:

Mix one part buttermilk with ten parts water and apply to the soil around the base of plants every two weeks during the growing season. Buttermilk contains nutrients like Nitrogen, phosphorous and Potassium that help plants growth. We must Ferment the Buttermilk for 3-5 days. If any Black Fungus layer appears on the Fermented Buttermilk after 3-5 days, don’t use this Buttermilk for Plants. This Fermented Buttermilk can also be given as spray to prevent early flower and fruit drop in plants.

Fermented Buttermilk as Pesticide / Fungicide:

Add Green chilies paste, turmeric powder and Hing ( Asafoetida ) to the Diluted Fermented Buttermilk ( 1 liter solution with four liters of water ). Spray this Diluted solution to get rid of pests like aphids, mealybugs and leaf curl etc.

Fermented Buttermilk is a good option for Organic gardening. Plants also need a balanced diet of nutrients, which may require additional fertilizers depending on the soil composition. This Fermented Buttermilk increases the soil fertility and stops flower and fruit drop.
